Pool enclosures
Pool fencing is governed by your municipality’s enclosure bylaw. We build to the standard your permit requires and tell you what that is before it is quoted.
Posts and frost
Everything here moves in winter. Post depth, backfill and the way the frame is fixed decide whether a fence is straight in March or leaning into the neighbour’s yard.
Lumber and fence panels are sold in imperial locally, so that is how the material list on the quote reads.
Gates and access
Gates get used every day and are the first thing to sag. They are framed, braced and hung to take that, and sized for whatever has to get through — a mower, a trailer, a wheelbarrow.
Fencing questions
What types of fencing do you install?
Wood, vinyl, aluminum, steel and ornamental fencing, plus residential and commercial chain link. We also supply and install gates, posts and automatic gate closers.
Do you install pool fencing that meets the bylaw?
Yes. Our pool enclosures are built to the local municipal bylaw, which typically requires a fence at least 5 feet tall and a self-closing, self-latching gate. The pool enclosure permit is the homeowner’s responsibility, and we can help with the application.
Who is responsible for knowing the property line?
The property owner. That’s why we bring up a survey at the start of every project. Building entirely on your own property is essential and prevents disputes with neighbours. If you don’t have a survey, we recommend getting one from a local surveying firm before the project begins.
Do you call for utility locates?
Yes. We request locates before any digging, every time.
