Commercial snow and ice management
Parking lots, entrances, sidewalks and loading areas for commercial, condominium, industrial and institutional properties across the Quinte region.
Storm in progress? Our 24-hour snow and ice line is 613-967-5209.

What is covered
- Plowing at the trigger depth written into your contract
- Lot de-icing with bulk road salt, and sand or grit where traction matters more
- Sidewalk and entry de-icing
- Snow hauling when the piles run out of room
Scope, trigger depth and the order sites are cleared in are agreed in writing before the season starts.
The standard your site is held to
5 cm / 2 in
The trigger most commercial properties are contracted at.
2.5 cm / 1 in on approval
For sites that need a tighter standard — hospitals, schools, medical clinics and similar.
Written into the contract
Along with the areas covered and the order they are cleared in. Nothing is left to judgment on the night.
Winter weather does not follow a schedule, and no contractor can keep a surface clear of snow and ice at every moment of a storm. What a contract can do is set out exactly what we service, at what depth, and what gets recorded.
Before the first snowfall: a written site plan
Every commercial site gets a written plan before the season starts, so nothing is left to judgment on the night.
- Stake-out: curbs, islands, drains and edges marked before the ground freezes.
- Snow storage: where piles go, and when hauling starts.
- Priority zones: entrances, fire routes, accessible parking and loading areas cleared first.
- Salt strategy: what goes down where, and when.
- A named contact for your site all winter.
Memberships: SIMA and Landscape Ontario.
Record snowfalls, like the significant weather events Belleville and Quinte West declared in January 2026, are what the plan is for. Routes, crews and equipment are set before the season starts.

Everything is on paper
Our operators log in and out of each site, and service work is photographed and reported back to our office. Through our client portal you can see when we were on site, view photos of the work and read crew notes. Full service logs are available on request. That is the file you need on your desk when a slip-and-fall claim arrives.
We carry commercial general liability insurance and WSIB coverage for our staff, and we can name you as additional insured on request. Certificates are available on request.
How we run your site
Our own crews
Our crews are our own staff. We do not subcontract our snow services, and dedicated sidewalk crews clear, then de-ice, walkways and entrances.
Salt at the right rate
We recalibrate our salters at the start of every season and return for a second application when conditions call for it. Our owner is Smart About Salt certified, and members of our team are SIMA Certified Deicer Applicators.
Before you sign
Our free guide for property managers covers the questions worth asking, the red flags in a bid, and a contract checklist to use with any contractor.

Contracts and tenders
Every property is priced on its own. We offer seasonal, hybrid, hourly and per-visit contracts, and snow contracts are pre-paid.
Putting the work out to tender? Send us the site details and you will get a proposal broken out stage by stage, priced line by line, with the insurance paperwork attached.
Commercial snow questions
What trigger depth do you plow at?
Most commercial properties are contracted at 5 cm (2 in). Sites that need a tighter standard, such as clinics and schools, can be contracted at 2.5 cm (1 in) on approval. The depth is written into your contract.
Do you clear sidewalks and entrances?
Yes. Sidewalk and entry de-icing is part of the service, and the areas we cover are written into the contract.
What records do we get?
Service logs for every visit, salt and de-icer records, and photo records.
Do you provide proof of insurance?
We carry commercial general liability insurance, and our certificate of insurance is available on request.
What kinds of contracts do you offer?
Seasonal, hybrid, hourly and per-visit. Snow contracts are pre-paid.
How far ahead should we book?
Commercial sites: as early as possible. Most contracts are set in late summer, and we take on new sites through the fall as route capacity allows. Homes: ideally by October.
Do you do one-time plows?
One-time and on-call plowing is available in special circumstances, subject to availability. Contract clients are served first during a storm.
